The site is located within the Sandhurst Club in Sandhurst. The Central Core is an undeveloped parcel within the Sandhurst Club and is being developed into a residential subdivision with a child care centre, extensive car parking, main estate park and open spaces and extensive development of Club assets such as tennis courts and piazza. The site required approximately 50,000m3 of engineered fill to be imported to the site to ensure the development is above the one in 100 year flood level.
TGM provided civil engineering services for the 2 stages within the Sandhurst Central Core Precinct (West Precinct – Stage 1 and East Precinct – Stage 2).
TGM’s engineers provided preliminary engineering plans / functional layout plan approval, detailed design and documentation, tendering, contract administration and delivery.
Stage 1 – West precinct consisted of 38 lots.
Stage 2 – East precinct consisted of 25 lots.
TGM also designed a series of bio-retention swales for the recently constructed carparks at the Sandhurst Estate. The bioretention swales collect the surface runoff from the carpark and treat the stormwater via a vegetated filter system before it enters the underground drainage system and ultimately a lake system within the golf estate.
TGM were fantastic to work with at Sandhurst. They brought a strategic approach to the design and approval process and then supported this with a keen focus on quality and great attention to detail throughout the project’s delivery. As a result, most problems were foreseen well in advance which had minimal impact on the overall project and the program was achieved.Anton Pound, Director, Bauenort
The TGM team knew what they were doing, always communicated well and were really good to work with. The end result was a well-planned and delivered project that met the high expectations of the client and other stakeholders which included a large owner’s corporation.
