The project comprised the construction of an addition to the north end of the existing Aldi Store on this site and associated alterations to the existing carpark as required due to the building extension. The new extension consists of steel framing with Bondor panel roof and wall cladding to follow the existing building. The extension was about 400 square metres and featured clear span glue laminated timber roof beams. TGM were engaged by Magellan Projects who were the Design and Construct Contractor for the project.
Mercedes Benz, Geelong
This project includes the design and construction of an addition to the existing showroom building, a feature main entry canopy, a mezzanine floor in the extension and new stairs between the existing and extended floor levels. The project is due for completion early 2018 and the estimated total construction cost is between $2.5M to $3M. Watson Young are the Architects for the project.
Aldi and Mixed Retail Development, Bell Park
TGM provided consulting structural and civil engineering services to Magellan Projects, Design and Construct contractors for this new development comprising an 1,100 m² Aldi store and 2,500 m² mixed retail space with a large carpark and depressed loading dock. The building development utilised the shell of an previous Mitre 10 Store which was modified and extended. Major portal frame columns were removed and the rafters reported by long span beams to provide a column free area for Aldi.
Manningham City Council Aquarena Aquatic Centre Waterslide
TGM carried out a detailed structural assessment of the water slide facility aimed at prolonging the life of the facility for an extended period. A program of immediate structural works and a long term maintenance program provided the required solution for council.
