Design Assurance Scheme - Water Accreditation

The Water Design Assurance Scheme (DAS) assessment is now a mandatory requirement for Melbourne Retail Water Association (MRWA) water companies. DAS accreditation has been introduced to improve the design of water supply systems being undertaken for MRWA. The competency based system involves training and practical experience, which is demonstrated through a two-part formal assessment and includes an exam and review of the applicant’s design of three water reticulation systems.

TGM’s Annual Golf Day

On Friday, 5th May, TGM hosted its second Ambrose Golf Day, at Portarlington Golf Course. The day was attended by TGM clients and staff. The weather was a perfect Autumn day for golfing. A “shot gun” start saw 75 golfers hit off, across all holes of the course. There were many highlights of the day, including some great golf and a lot of laughs (and drinks).

New Laser Scanner

TGM has just purchased our second laser scanner – a Faro x330 HDR. The new scanner is smaller and lighter than previous models. It is perfect for Building Information Modelling (BIM) and has already been used to deliver point clouds for a water treatment plant upgrade, a new car dealership, a netball court and a university renovation.

Building Information Modelling

TGM designers use Building Information Modelling (BIM) software to create a virtual model of buildings and infrastructure prior to their physical construction. BIM reduces uncertainty and assists designers to foresee building construction issues before they occur on site: saving costly delays and rework during construction.
