Portarlington Golf Club Recycled Water Pipeline
The Portarlington Golf Club located on the Bellarine Peninsula engaged TGM to Design and Project Manage the installation of a 3.5km recycled water pipeline. Initially a temporary above ground polyethylene pipe was installed to cater for the clubs immediate requirements. This catered for the high water usage demands required to maintain the golf course over the 2007/08 summer period.Treated class C water is pumped from the Portarlington Sewerage Treatment Plant which is owned and operated by the local Water Authority (Barwon Water). The treated water is stored onsite at the golf course in various dams.
A permanent pipeline was then installed in 2008 to replace the temporary pipeline. The temporary pipe was reutilised in the stage 2 works. The pipeline was designed and project managed by the Water Infrastructure Team. An Environmental Management Plan was also prepared for the project (EMP).
