Northern Victoria Irrigation Renewal Project $2B

The Northern Victoria Irrigation Renewal Project is the largest irrigation project ever undertaken in Victoria.  It is part of Victoria’s Food Bowl Modernisation Project to fix leaking channels, regulate channel flow and replace inefficient water meters forms.

TGM has supported construction activities for the channel regulators that will automate levels in irrigation channels and is in the process of designing 1,500 replacement meters. The new meters will enable Goulborn-Murray Water to measure water use with a level of accuracy that meets current Australian Standards.

TGM has been able to provide a flexible workforce with the necessary design and construction experience to meet the varying rate of work. We were able to quickly mobilise staff to operate from Transfield’s Shepparton office and was able to deal with varying staffing level requirements.
TGM managed internal resources to provide enough staff to complete the project in the short timeframe required and was able to increase staffing levels when required.
